Why the Starter plan has guardrails
The free tier is meant to make small-group planning effortless, not become another never-ending backlog. Limiting Starter to two active hangouts and 20 AI suggestions per month keeps the experience focused—and helps us reserve infrastructure for the hosts who need it most.
Two hangouts at a time
Most casual planners juggle a weekend dinner and maybe a team outing. By capping active hangouts at two, we nudge users to archive old plans once they’re done. In return, we can keep dashboards clutter-free and surface relevant reminders (e.g., “You can finalize this hangout now”).
20 AI prompts, unlimited creativity
We continually refine the AI venue recommender. Each prompt hits multiple APIs (Places + Weather + internal scoring), so the limit ensures we don’t throttle users during peak times. If you burn through 20 prompts, you still have manual suggestions and voting—plus early access to the Pro waitlist.
