What is Hangoa?
Hangoa is an availability-first planning workspace. We keep calendars front-and-center so groups can pick a time, choose a venue, and confirm the plan without the endless group chat.
Our mission
In-person time is precious, and too often planning it becomes a chore. Hangoa exists to eliminate the friction of coordinating hangouts—whether that’s a team offsite, a reunion dinner, or a volunteer meetup. When everyone can easily surface availability and react to venue ideas, the focus returns to spending time together.
What we believe
- Availability comes first. Suggesting venues is only useful after overlapping free time is clear. Our product keeps that priority intact.
- Group planning should be democratic. Every attendee can mark their slots, react to venues, and comment—no one is left out of the decision.
- AI should be assistive, not prescriptive. Hangoa uses AI to recommend venues and flag conflicts, but hosts remain in control.
Who uses Hangoa?
We build for people who plan hangouts regularly:

- Community groups that meet weekly and need recurring availability polls
- Friends planning dinners, birthdays, or short trips together
